(Ch. Blossom Hill Cutting Edge (Edge) x Am/Can Ch. Cassori Touch The Heart (Contessa) Kennedy is a tri factored sable merle smooth that stamps his head qualities and movement on his puppies!! His near flawless head helped him to win BISS and BPISS at the Canadian National in 2007 at the age of only 11 months. He then went on to win his class at the American National in March of 2008 and was pulled for WD out of 42 males. Kennedy finished his American championship in only 8 days, undefeated in the classes, with 4 BB wins over Specials and also 4 BOS wins over Specials. In Feb of 2009, he won his second Specialty. In April of 2009, at the American National, he placed 3rd in the HUGE stud dog class with his 2 baby daughters to represent him. This dog has it all! He has won in both the Specialty rings and the all-breed rings, proving he appeals to all judges.

Kennedy was shown lightly in Canada in 2009- a few weekends in the spring and a few again in the fall where he was awarded 3 group 1’s, 6 group 2’s, 3 group 3’s and 5 group 4’s which was enough to place him # 1 SMOOTH COLLIE IN CANADA!!!

Kennedy’s second litter was also born in August of 2009 courtesy of Ch. Blossom Hill Tamaron’s Promise (Jasmine). There were 3 boys, 1 smooth and 2 roughs. The smooth Howie (Tamaron’s Deal Or No Deal) and the rough Ryder (Tamaron’s Deal Me In) are here at Tamaron. The other rough boy Monte (Tamaron’s Let’s Make a Deal) is co-owned with Renee Holtkamp of RainyCreek Collies.

2010 started off with a bang with Kennedy winning his second consecutive ASSCA Specialty BB under judge Mike van Tassel in February and then a week later winning the Canadian National BOV for the second time!!! This win was under judge Barry Hastings. At his second all-breed show of the year, Kennedy won BEST IN SHOW under judge Leslie Rogers who said “you will go a long time before you see another smooth as nice as this!”. We traveled to sunny, hot California in March for the CCA National. Kennedy was very well recieved by fellow breeders but was not the National judges’ cup of tea. However, I did have to check a few people’s coats to make sure he was NOT under them when they left! It was a very long drive but worth every minute spent on the road.

Kennedy has some special girls coming to see him this year. Inquire about a breeding to or a puppy from this young, exciting dog.

Until you have seen a “stallion of a dog” it’s really hard to picture what one would look like. When you have seen Edge, you have truly seen a “stallion of a dog”. At 8 months of age, Edge stood 25 inches at the shoulder, had bone and substance that you usually only see on mature dogs. You think he is much older until you see him in the ring! Then the puppy comes out in him and he makes everyone laugh. He did manage to win Best of Breed his very first time in the ring!

When Mary and Paul Wells of Blossom Hill Collies in California decided to breed Edge’s mom April to Hal, I held my breath, hoping for a smooth male that could come to Canada. There was only one male in the litter and he was a sable merle. Bonus for me as Paul and Mary already had a sable merle in Hal and surely (I was hoping) they wouldn’t want to keep another one. Then, when their eyes opened and it was discovered Edge had a partial blue eye on his show side, I knew he was mine!! You can’t show sable merles with blue eyes in the States but you can in Canada!! I started to make plans to bring Edge to Canada!!

We flew home from California on August 12, when Edge was 9 weeks old and which is my birthday as well. Right from the get-go, Edge made himself the boss. He pounced on the ragdoll cat the instant he came in the house and then ran upstairs to check things out. He hasn’t quit since! He loves the couch but when he is outside running in the 2 acres fenced for the dogs, he is hardly ever still.

Edge has a huge full white collar which extends well past his shoulders. He has a head profile to die for, absolutely no flare and no depth, full dentition, perfect scissors bite, and an expression breeders dream of. He is very strong in rear, with great drive. He has a great shoulder layback, with his head set well ahead of his front. If I could change anything, it would be to give him a bit more reach in front.

I cannot thank Paul and Mary enough for letting me bring Edge to Canada. He is the first one they have let go so far away. Hopefully a girl will follow soon.

Edge has a number of young ladies waiting for him already. He will be making a huge impact here at Tamaron and if breeders are smart, he will influence other kennels as well.

What can I say about Flirt? She was aptly named right from the start. Flirt loves everyone and anyone and is always trying to get your attention. She is a richly colored tri factored sable merle smooth and stands just over 24 inches at the shoulder. Flirt’s first show was the Canadian National where she was RWB! After that she went to all-breed shows where she consistently was BB over Specials. In Feb of 2009, she was WB at the ASSCA Specialty under judge Barry Hastings to finish.

Flirt has an incredibly beautiful head with no depth, perfectly parallel planes and the flattest backskull you could imagine. She has a perfectly placed stop, full rounded muzzle, full underjaw and naturally tipped ears. She has full dentition and a scissors bite. Flirt has an extremely balanced body with great angulation both front and rear. Her movement is effortless and so correct! You can see from her pictures just how well she moves- this has been rewarded by breeder/judges and all-breed judges. It’s hard to miss! She loves to show and will bait at the end of the lead for as long as you want her to. She is fun to show and she loves it! You can tell by the way she curls her tail over her back when she moves!! That is the one thing I don’t like about her but she does drop her tail the minute she stops so I can live with it! Flirt’s full collar on her show side makes a stunning picture and really shows off her lovely shoulder. She has great depth of chest which adds to her beautiful outline.

I have great plans for this gorgeous bitch. She will be bred this year and then will be hitting American shows for her US title.

Landon was a special puppy right from the start. He was so outgoing, energetic and so FULL of himself!!! His little tree trunk legs carried him fast, no matter where he was going. Just like his beautiful sire, Landon has a break in his collar on the show side which I find so striking. He has an absolutely correct front with his head set ahead of his front legs, just like it should be. His shoulder layback is incredible with is consistent with his long, reaching stride. Landon has a gorgeous length of neck which is correctly arched and he really knows how to use it!! Landon has a very full, rounded muzzle which blends in very smoothly into his side skulls, full, correct dentition, scissors bite and extremely smooth zygomatic arches. His stop is just where it should be and his head is long and lean, showing no depth at all. Face on, he has an expression that is hard to find in a tri. It is very soft, inquisitive and pleasing. He truly fills my eye and my heart! He has a full white front as well which really shows off his front. He has a topline to die for which even at the age of 6 months was dead level. Landon has a wonderfully correctly angled rear which allows for the strong drive a collie needs and was bred for. He has a very long tail which he carries level from his back and which is ALWAYS wagging!!! He has a huge side gait, a beautiful front coming at you and a strong rear going away from you. I am so excited about this puppy- he will bring great things to Tamaron and we can’t wait!!

Landon started his show career with a bang when, at 6 1/2 months he travelled with Buddy, Carol and I 11.5 hours each way to Cloverdale to the Collie Club of BC Specialty and 2 all-breed shows. The first day, under Mr L. Silva, a judge from Brazil, Landon was WD, BW and BP. The next day under Mr. W. Chan, a judge from Malaysia, he was RWD and BP. Later that day, Landon was entered in the Puppy Sweeps being judged by Marie Markovich of Marko Collies in Washington. Even though he was up against collies up to 18 months of age, and some of them Champions, Landon was chosen by Marie as her Best Puppy in Sweeps! Right after completion of the sweeps, the Collie Club of BC Specialty started, judged by the legendary Sue Symington of Carnwath Collies. As the day went on, in the end, Sue chose Buddy as her Best of Breed dog and Landon as her Best Puppy in Breed! We then had to compete agaisnt the smooth best Puppy in Breed winner and it was Landon who Sue chose as her Best Puppy in Specialty!!!!! She also chose Buddy as her Best in Specialty winner. What a great end to a great day!! Look for Landon at the ASSCA Specialty in Feb 2005 and also in Oklahoma City at the CCA in March!

Landon was retired from the show/breeding aspects of Tamaron Collies in 2009 and is living with Jerry and Della Dumalski of Saskatchewan, Canada. Landon is a very lucky dog to be with Jerry and Della!

Deja is a beautiful sable, feminine, compact bitch that has stolen everyone’s heart!! She finished in 4 days with 3 BW and a BB over 4 Specials. Deja has a lovely, correct eye, very full muzzle and underjaw, full dentition and natural ears. She has a full white collar, a HUGE coat and LOVES the show ring!!! The day she finished her championship she was jumping up and grabbing my skirt on the down and back. It’s a good thing Mr. Charlie Francis is very tolerant of sassy puppies!!! It was he who gave her BB over the 4 Specials from the Junior Puppy class. Deja’s attitude is very typical of the Tamaron collies and is a trait that I cherish. She loves people and other dogs and wants people to notice her. However she certainly learned quickly when to be serious in the ring! Deja will be Specialed occasionally as a puppy in 2003.

Moxie is a gorgeous sable merle with a full white collar and a HUGE coat! She is out of the first litter for her dad and the 3rd and final litter for her mom. Moxie is an extremely outgoing and personable dog. She loves everyone and everything and is the first to jump in your face to get attention! She has small blue flecks in her eyes and they are a beautiful size and shape. Moxie has a very full rounded muzzle and a full underjaw along with a perfect scissors bite and full dentition. She has beautiful, naturally tipped ears that are set high up on her head. Moxie is very balanced with a great shoulder layback and long upper arm, enabling her to reach to the end of her nose. Her rear is moderately angled giving her the drive needed for a herding dog. Her neck is well set, blending smoothly into her shoulders.

Moxie debuted in Calgary at the AKC shows and the ASSCA Specialty in February, 2002. There she picked up 5 points by going WB every day and also WB at the Specialty. Moxie finished her championship in style by taking BW every day in Camrose and also a Best of Breed the last day and a Best Puppy in Group the first day. She finished her championship at just under 11 months of age in 2 week-ends.

Jasmine is truly the happiest dog I have ever seen! She brings joy to my life every day just by being herself. I have spent hours just watching her run and play and always brings a smile to my face! Jasmine came home with me from the American National is Boise, Idaho in April of 2006. It was pre-arranged that Mary would be flying with her to Boise and I would be bringing her home from there. This little bundle of fur and energy entered my life with a wiggle and a kiss and has been a huge part of my life ever since.

Jasmine went to a one day show the weekend before the National when she was just 9 months old. She did manage to keep all 4 feet on the ground long enough to convince me she could go to the National. At 9 months of age, under judge Betty Abbott, Jasmine proceeded to win Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best Puppy in Specialty! She finished her next time out, 2 weekends later, at Canada?s largest dog show! She was not shown again until Feb of 2007 where she was Best of Opposite Sex at the ASSCA Specialty. Then it was almost year before she hit the rings again at last year?s National where she was awarded Best of Opposite Sex in roughs and Best of Opposite Sex in Specialty under judge Sue Symington. She never ceases to amaze me!!!

Jasmine stands 22 inches at the shoulder, has a gorgeous layback with an equally strong, perfectly angled rear. She has a long neck that she really knows how to use and a very nice topline. She has a perfect scissors bite with full dentition, a full underjaw and a well filled, rounded muzzle. Her head planes are completely parallel and she has a stop that is perfectly placed. She has the leanest, cleanest head ever with no flaring and no depth. Jasmine?s coat is a deep orange color and fits her so well. She does not carry an immense amount of coat but it does fit her well.

Jasmine is very clean both coming and going and has a beautiful side gait.

I wanted Jasmine to bring some head properties I needed into my line. Her pedigree promises to do that. Puppies by her and my National Specialty winning smooth Ch. Tamaron The Real Deal (Kennedy) are eagerly awaited. Kennedy is sired by Jasmine?s brother Edge, Ch. Blossom Hill Cutting Edge.

In mid June of 2009 Jasmine (Ch. Blossom Hill Tamaron’s Promise) will be bred to Am/Can Ch. Tamaron The Real Deal (Kennedy). This is a closely line bred litter that has Am Ch Fantasy’s Bronze Talisman (Brandon) 6 times in the immediate pedigree. Also, the most Specialty winning collie in history Am Ch. Blossom Hill Full Circle (Cinnamon) is on both sides of this proposed pedigree as is Am Ch. Blossom Hill Barely Bronze (Hal). This star studded pedigree makes this a highly anticipated litter! Both rough and smooth expected in all colors but white.

Giorgio comes from a breeding that was very important to both CassOri Collies and Tamaron as his mom is the only breeding daughter of the incredible Am/Can Ch. CassOri’s Echoes of a Legend, “Buddy” who tragically left us in Feb of 2005. I wanted to breed Celine to Buddy’s brother Linden (Am/Can Ch. CassOri’s Moonshadow) and Carol graciously agreed to let Linden come to stay with me while Celine was in season. With only 2 surviving puppies in the litter, one blue and one tri, we prayed they would “turn out”. I gave the blue puppy to Carol and kept the tri for myself.

Giorgio was shown at the Canadian National in October of 2007 when he was only 7 months old. He was awarded Reserve Winners Dog and his blue brother Elijah, was WD and BW. That was all the showing I did with Giorgio until March of 2008. I took him to a 6 show weekend in Saskatchewan, about 6 hours away from here. There he proceeded to go way beyond my expectations and win all 6 BB’s, got a group 1, a group 2, 2 Puppy Groups and a Best Puppy in Show!!! He came home a champion from his one and only weekend at an all-breed show!

Giorgio stands 24.5 inches at the shoulder, has a full white collar and carries a profuse coat. He has a gorgeous expression with perfectly placed and shaped eyes and truly has “the look of eagles” which is so hard to get on a tri. He has a perfect scissors bite with full dentition, a full underjaw and a beautifully rounded muzzle. Giorgio’s planes are parallel with very smooth sideskulls, he has a very flat frontal bone and lovely cornering on his skull. He has a long neck that he really knows how to use, a very flat topline and a gorgeous layback of shoulder. If I could change anything I would give him a bit more rear angulation. He is not cow hocked at all, is not weak in rear but I would like a bit more angulation. His side gait is incredible and he can really cover ground! He is very sound both coming and going. Giorgio has a presence about him that few collies possess. He will stand still for hours in the show ring and not move a muscle. You know they are built right when they can stand still for so long and keep showing! He is very focused!

Flint is a full brother to Serious and is built just the same. He has the same beautifully balanced body, tight, natural ears, correctly shaped and size of eye (they have blue flecks), and perfect and full dentition. He has a full underjaw, smooth rounded muzzle and melting expression. Flint’s head is a little shorter than I like right now (7 months of age) but I am hoping it will lengthen as he gets older. His sideskulls are very clean and he has no depth. Flint has the most wonderful length and arch of neck that he really shows off in the ring. Flint is very well balanced and really reaches and drives when he moves. He is a joy to watch. Flint will be a busy boy here at Tamaron and already has some pretty little ladies coming to call.

As of the beginning of June, 2001, Flint now has12 Best of Breeds, 6 group placements ( 1 second, 4 thirds, 1 fourth), 7 Puppy Groups, and 1 Best Puppy in Show. At the Red Deer shows held at the beginning of April, Flint (Ch. Tamaron’s Inherit The Wind) debuted in the Junior Puppy class at the age of 7 months. He was RWD the first day and then the next day he was WD, BW, BB and BPIB over 4 Specials under judge Judy Hunt of Calgary. He also made the cut in a large herding group.

At his second show in Saskatoon in May, Flint was again Best of Breed from the JP class, over Specials for 3 points. He then was awarded a group 4th for an extra point and a Puppy Group under judge Terry Carter. On Sunday he was again Best of Breed from the JP class over 4 Specials for 4 points and then was given a group 3 and another Puppy Group for a total of 5 points to finish his championship in style at 7 months!!! The judge that day was Heather Logan. A couple of weeks later, Flint was in his first show as a Special where he took all 6 Best of Breeds, a group 2, 3 group 3’s and 4 Puppy Groups. The judges were Ingeborg James, Anita Carins, Fred Dewsbury and Doug Windsor who gave him group placements and Denise Corneilssen and Leslie Belfit who gave him the other Breed wins. A week after that Flint was in a show in Edmonton where he again took all 3 Best of Breeds and a Best Puppy in Show under judge Doreen Marsh. The other breed judges were Dick Lopaschuck and Don Fitzsimmons. All this and just 9 months and 1 week old! What a great way to debut! Watch for the big blue dog that will steal your heart!

Ch. Tamaron’s Arranbrae Tradition (Trad) is a blue litter brother to Anya. Trad was sold to Australia to breeder/judges Don and Sue Henley of Arranbrae Collies the day he was born! In order to not disappoint his new owners, Trad finished his Canadian Championship at the age of 7 months by taking the breed over the top collie in Canada. The day before he also took the breed then went on to take a Group 3rd in a very competitive Herding group under judge Joyce Hodgeson of New Zealand. What a way to finish!!

Trad is a very solid, beautifully marked blue merle. He has a full white color with white extending higher up his left leg than his right. He also has one blue eye and one dark brown. Trad has a perfect scissors bite, a full round muzzle and a wonderful underjaw. He has beautifully smooth sideskulls with no flaring at all and no depth. Trad is very well angulated both front and rear giving him incredible reach and drive. He has a long neck, arching slightly at the nape that he uses to his full potential! Trad moves around the ring the same as he does out in the field, proving he could go out and work all day with the sheep herders like his ancestors did. He loves to show off and have everybody notice him!

Trad is now happily residing with his owners, Sue and Don Henley of Arranbrae Collies in Australia and has now won his Australian championship! We are so pleased. He finished with another CC and BB over 40+ collies and was runner up in a group of 190! What a way to finish!

Judge James Reynolds has this to say: “If it matters to you ma’am, this dog is the only one here with what I consider to be a correct head”. He won his class of 8 the first day out and his class of 5 the second, his very first time in the ring in Australia. In his third show in a field of competition which includes the State’s current top winning Collies, Trad rose above the male classes and recorded a win known as Best Dog Open Show , under Borzoi/Collie specialist, Mr. Andrew Beattie. Trad went on to win Runner Up Best of Breed at the show, as well as Best Intermediate in Show.
